If you rather use the channel faders instead of the crossfader for mixing, you can deactivate
the crossfader in order to avoid unwanted level inconsistencies between channels. To do
this, deactivate all crossfader assignments by SHIFT-pressing the corresponding FX Assign
buttons.
You can customize the fading curve of the Crossfader in Preferences > Mixer > Crossfader.
Please refer to the TRAKTOR 2 Manual for more info.

The Master Display provides you with some vital information and controls for your TRAK-
TOR KONTROL S4 system.
Alert Indicator
The Alert indicator.
The Alert indicator basically informs you that something might go wrong with your TRAK-
TOR KONTROL S4 system: the indicator flashes if the Main Volume knob or the Headphones
Volume knob is too low in TRAKTOR, if the CPU meter is too high, or if the power supply of
your laptop is disconnected.
